Setúbal Walking Tour

SETÚBAL WALKING TOUR | The Blue City is the Gateway to Alentejo

This tour invites you to explore the Queen of the River Sado and its surprising historical center. Considered by many Portuguese as the 3rd most important city of Portugal due to its Commercial Port and financial importance, Setúbal was always an underrated city in terms of National Tourism.

Luckily, times have changed and this traditional poor fisherman city founded by the Phoenicians has changed a lot. Today, in every corner old buildings and monuments are being restored and the city reborn from the ashes, being transformed into a beautiful city with many sightseeing sights and trendy spots.

In our Walking Tour we will walk in the Downtown, visiting the Cathedral, the Baroque Museum, the Roman Ruins, and its commercial area to "feel" the atmosphere of this town.

Continuing down the narrow streets we will reach the main square dedicated to the city's most remarkable Poet: Bocage.

Later on, we will have a glimpse at the 16th-century manueline Church of the Jesus Convent, before finishing our tour in the traditional Livramento Market, one of the most famous fish markets in Portugal.
