In this tour, you will walk through the Old Town, where Lisbon was founded, towards the traditional neighbourhoods of Mouraria, Castelo, and Alfama. Along the way, you'll be surprised by unexpected sightseeing sites and buildings of historic interest in every corner, while listening to your guide talks about the country and city's history, the local way of life, the gastronomy, and the religious traditions when visiting the Church of Saint Anthony located in front of Lisbon's Cathedral. Later on, and already in the Downtown area which was rebuilt after the Earthquake of 1755, glimpse into the 16th Century when Lisbon became the World Capital for the Trade of Spices as you arrive at the Commerce Square. To finish the tour, we will walk in the Portuguese "las ramblas", the Augusta Street always filled with life, until we reach the heart of the town, the Rossio Square.

2 - If you rather prefer to visit the Oldtown by yourself, we can also do the Belém Walking Tour to immerse ourselves in the period of the Discoveries, when Portugal ruled half of the world, having fortresses, and colonies in so many places that you have never imaniged before. Our Tour will start in the Afonso de Albuquerque Square in front of the Presidential Palace and the National Coach Museum, the oldest portuguese Museum that holds the best collection of this type of vehicles in the whole world. (Optional Visit).
After a short walk we'll stop in the Fábrica dos Pastéis de Belém, a world-wide famous pastry where you can taste the custart tarts.
Next, we'll reach the masterpiece of the manueline style architecture. The former monastery is a must-see in the european capital and is a national Pantheon for the greatest Portuguease. Its cloister is considered amongst one of the most beautiful one's in the world and it was inside of it where the documents to enter in the european union were signed
